MPD issued a correction, saying the victim was a man. The woman was not shot. An update has been made to this story.

MEMPHIS, Tenn. — A man is injured after a shooting in East Memphis Tuesday night.

Memphis Police responded to the shooting in the 3900 block of Willow Cove after 9 p.m.

The victim was transported to Regional One in critical condition.

No further information has been released.
