MEMPHIS, Tenn. — According to Memphis Light, Gas, and Water there are over 8,000 customers without power in the Memphis area, and the number continues to rise.
Currently, the areas most heavily affected by the outages are in South Memphis and Whitehaven along Winchester and East Brooks Road.
