UPDATE: MLGW says power has been restored to all affected areas downtown.

MEMPHIS, Tenn. — A large portion of the downtown area is without power due to equipment failure, according to Memphis Light, Gas, and Water.

MLGW says that crews are on the scene attempting to isolate the damage and effect repairs.

The matter is still under investigation, so an estimated time of restoration is not yet available, MLGW says.
