Update: According to Memphis Police, the victim died today, March 17.

MEMPHIS, Tenn. — One person is injured following a shooting in North Memphis Wednesday afternoon.

Police say officers responded to a shooting in the 800 block of Speed Street just after 3 p.m.

The male victim was transported to Regional One in critical condition.

Police have not released any further information, this is an ongoing homicide investigation.
