MEMPHIS, Tenn.– A man is dead and another man is injured after a shooting in Southeast Memphis Friday night.

Police say officers responded to the shooting in the 6000 block of Whisper Valley Drive after 7 p.m.

One man was pronounced dead at the scene. The second victim was taken to Regional One in critical condition.

Witnesses tells WREG that the suspect got in argument with two men and eventually started fighting them. At some point, he allegedly shot them multiple times and drove off.

Police say the suspect left the scene in a silver SUV, and it is believed that the male suspect is known to both victims.

At this time, investigators have not formally named or charged a suspect, but are asking anyone with information about the shooting to call CrimeStoppers at 901-528-CASH.
