MEMPHIS, Tenn. — A woman was charged in connection to a deadly shooting in Raleigh.

Officers were at the scene of the shooting in the 4200 block of Nam Ni shortly after midnight Monday morning. Our cameras saw a heavy police presence in the area shortly after the shooting.

Police said the victim, later identified as Jeremy Key, was pronounced dead at the scene.

A man who lives next door said he did not hear any shots but was told the victim was found inside the house on the kitchen floor.

Police said Kendria Applewhite was developed as the person responsible for the shooting.

Neighbors said a man and woman lived in the house together with two young children. The kids were not home at the time of the shooting.

Applewhite was charged with second-degree murder and is being held on a $150,000 bond. She is scheduled to appear in court Tuesday.
