MEMPHIS, Tenn. — One person was killed after getting in a car accident in the airport area Friday morning.

According to Memphis Police, they responded to a one-car crash at Plough near Winchester a little before 2:45 a.m.

One person was inside the car when it left the roadway and hit a tree. They were pronounced dead on the scene.

This remains an ongoing investigation, police say.
