MEMPHIS, Tenn. — A woman is dead after police responded to a fight call in Whitehaven Wednesday night.

Police say officers responded to the domestic fight call in the 5000 block of Hornsby, where they found a 55-year-old woman suffering from head trauma.

The victim was taken to Regional One but did not survive her injuries.

Police say a man has been detained.

We are still working to learn if charges are being filed. This is an ongoing homicide investigation.
