MEMPHIS, Tenn. — One man was in critical condition, and another arrested, after a shooting Saturday evening in Hickory Hill.
Police were called just before 7 p.m. to a retail and office plaza at 6002 Knight Arnold Road.
They say Samuel Smith, 29, shot the victim during an argument. Smith is charged with aggravated assault and four counts of reckless endangerment.
Police said video showed Smith chasing the victim around a vehicle that contained his ex-girlfriend and three children before he fired several shots at the other man. Both men were armed, police say.
Smith left the scene, police said, but returned and was taken into custody while officers were investigating.
The victim was initially listed in critical condition, but was later upgraded.
Smith’s bond was set at $30,000 and he has been released.
