MEMPHIS, Tenn. — A man is in the hospital after a shooting at a gas station in downtown Memphis Wednesday.

Memphis Police say officers responded to the shooting at the Marathon gas station on Poplar Avenue at 1:36 p.m.

The victim was found with an apparent gunshot wound and transported to Regional One in critical condition.

Police say a male has been detained.
