MEMPHIS, TENN. — Memphis police have arrested a man after a barricade situation in Orange Mound.
Around 9 p.m. Sunday, police attempted to arrest 45-year-old Curtis Hearn at the corner of Airways and Brooklyn Avenue. According to police, Hearns was wanted for aggravated assault.
Police say Hearn had locked himself inside an RV and when officers began to approach him, he point a gun toward them.
Officers negotiated with Hearn for over ten hours for him to drop his weapon and exit the RV.
During the standoff, police shut down the north and southbound lanes of traffic between Airways Boulevard and Park Avenue.
Hearn surrendered to police at 7:19 a.m. and was taken into custody without incident.
There were no injuries reported.
