MEMPHIS, Tenn. -- Students at the University of Memphis said there are plenty of tools to keep them safe while they are on campus, but it doesn't always stop the bad guys from trying to attack.

The university wouldn't comment on the latest sexual battery on campus because it involved students.

However, it did say it provides a safe environment.

That's just like other schools in the area with recent sexual assaults.

The Memphis College of Art said it added locks to its dorms after a sexual battery case last month.

Christian Brothers University, like many other schools, is making students aware of safety protocols and resources after two sexual assaults on its campus.

One of those involved high school students.

U of M students we talked to said they already use police escorts and are aware of emergency call boxes, but said the most recent incident has them wanting to add more to stay safe.
