Nashville, Tenn. — Nashville police say early Sunday a Krispy Kreme delivery man was shot and killed during a robbery in Donelson. They are still searching to identify the suspect.

In a news release, police called the robbery and shooting at Mapco, on 465 Donelson Pike, a “senseless” crime. They said that the suspect shot 61-year-old Al Baker while fleeing the cash he stole from the gas station.

The Tennessean reports Baker had arrived in a delivery truck when multiple shots were fired at him “for no apparent reason.” Baker drove off in the truck southbound with his injuries. Police said he stopped his truck into a Walgreens but then rolled into a column at the front entrance. Baker died at that scene.

The police are looking for any information on the suspect.
