MEMPHIS, Tenn. -- Debra Lucas has been staring at piles of trash up and down Emerald Avenue in Fox Meadows.

“We're charged for the service and aren't getting the service at all,” she said.

She's not the only one.

WREG found piles of uncollected yard debris all over her neighborhood, and some of them had clearly been there for quite some time.

Neighborhood leader Patricia Rodgers said she's complained for several months saying garbage contractor, Inland Waste, has delivered poor performance from the start, and it's getting worse.

“They need to look at the performance complaints with Inland and maybe they need to do what Germantown did, fire them,” she said.

Germantown's own city administrator picked up garbage with city work crews, saying Inland just stopped doing their job.

The city fired the waste company for complaints just like the ones in Fox Meadows.

The City of Memphis told us they're "evaluating Inland's services daily and will hold them to the full terms of the contract."
