MEMPHIS, Tenn. — Construction on the new “Big River Crossing” on the Harahan Bridge is now entering its final stages.
The Downtown Memphis Commission posted photos on Facebook to show off the bridge’s new lighting system.
The lights will be paid for with private donations and can be changed to have difference color schemes.
The Coast Guard must approve the lighting before it can be installed.
The new walking/biking area of the bridge is set to open this fall.
The bridge project is part of the Main to Main initiative.
