PALM SPRINGS, FL. — A Florida high school principal is behind bars after police say she was caught smoking marijuana in the backseat of a parked car with a student.

45-year-old Krista Morton is the principal of Mavericks High School in Palm Springs, Florida.

Police say they responded to a report of sexual activity in a car. They found Morton with the student and her shirt allegedly unbuttoned, showing part of her chest.
