FORT LAUDERDALE, Fl. — Questions are being raised after a man was found dead inside his SUV which had multiple parking tickets left on the windshield.
That’s what Carolyn White said drew her to the car in the first place.
“He was underneath the steering wheel, his head was in the middle of the seat, between the two seats,” White told The Sun Sentinel. “But you could see him on the passenger’s side. That’s how I seen him, from the sidewalk.”
The man she’s referring to was later identified as 62-year-old Jacob Morpeau.
For four days, city officers piled tickets on top of his Isuzu Axiom, never looking inside.
The Medical Examiner said Morpeau died from natural causes, but could put a specific day he passed away.
However, officials do know the SUV was issued tickets beginning on November 12 until the 15th. It’s not known if his body was inside the car on the 12th.
Family told the news outlet they had not heard from him a couple of days before the discovery. His friends reportedly last heard from him late on the evening of November 11.
