FedEx to hire 2,500 seasonal employees in Memphis

MEMPHIS, Tenn. — A company is set to hire hundreds of seasonal employees right here in Memphis.

FedEx announced they will be hiring more than 2,500 employees to cover the peak holiday season.

The company first said it would be hiring 1,500 but then increased that number to 2,500.

FedEx said there is a possibility those hired could be added to the team permanently.

More than 50,000 people are expected to be hired across the nation.
