(Memphis) Good news for those of you who once took the drug Avandia to help manage your diabetes.

The Food and Drug Administration is lifting restrictions and is going to let doctor’s start prescribing it again.

The agency made the decision after reviewing data that suggests the drug does
not increase the risk of heart attack.

The FDA restricted Avandia’s use in 2010.
