MEMPHIS, Tenn. — A 16-year-old DeSoto County girl who was missing for six days has been found safe, according to the DeSoto County Sheriff’s Office.

Maddie Work was found Friday afternoon by Metro Nashville Police Department and agents from the Nashville office of the FBI, DeSoto County authorities said.

She will be reunited soon with her parents.

Her recovery followed a multi-agency investigation that involved agencies across the country including the Secret Service, the New Albany Police Department, and the and the Moreno Valley, California Police Department.
