TUNICA, Miss. — Deputies are investigating following a fatal shooting in Tunica, Mississippi.
WREG has confirmed Dereon Romero was found at the Bankston Arms Apartment around 12:30 a.m. Wednesday morning.
He was shot multiple times, a deputy on the scene told WREG.
Those who knew the victim say he was quiet and kept mostly to himself, but he was in his early 20s and had his whole life ahead of him. They say he did not deserve for this to happen.
"That's the first time something like that happen here," said a woman who did not want to be identified. "The residents are on pins and needles and afraid because nothing like this ever happened."
