Arkansas schools to remain closed for rest of school year

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. — Arkansas Governor Asa Hutchinson announced all schools will remain closed for the rest of the school year.

Alternative methods will be implemented to make sure learning continues.

On March 19, the governor said schools would be closed until at least April 17 to mitigate the spread of the coronavirus.

As of Monday, Arkansas has reported 875 cases of COVID-19 with 16 deaths.
