MEMPHIS, Tenn. — A convicted felon is in trouble with the law again after he was accused of an armed robbery at the Bartlett Prescription Shop.

Patrick Owens was arrested early Monday morning.

According to authorities, dispatchers received a call saying there was a robbery in progress at the business.

When they arrived, they discovered Owens had fled the scene, but not before taking all of the company’s Percocet.

Employees said they were told to get to the back of the store once the suspect had what he wanted.

It was at that point, Owens tried to steal one of the employee’s cars.

When he was unable to drive it, Owens jumped back out and fled into the woods at Shelby and Stage Road.

A citizen called police when he spotted the suspect drop a bag near his fence.

Inside the bag was a revolver, mask, gloves and the stolen Percocet.

That same individual was able to identify Owens to police.
