MEMPHIS, Tenn. — Three people were detained after a shooting in Cordova that killed a man just before midnight on Christmas Eve.

Officers responded to 8655 Eagle View at 11:23 Tuesday night. They found one man dead at the scene and detained three people.

Family identified the victim as Christopher Starks.

“He didn’t bother anybody. Everybody knows he always showed love to everybody. He was a happy spirit,” said his son, Kerrion Harris.

Family and friends are now coping with Starks’ death. His son said he wants justice in the death of his father.
Residents said Starks lived in the home for about three years and never caused much trouble.
Friends believe the shooting was an in-house situation gone wrong.
Harris said his father was a barber who loved to take care of those around him.
Now, on this Christmas Day, he’s forced to move on without his father, focusing only on the positive.
“He was a good guy,” Harris said. “He made sure everybody was straight. There was nothing bad you could say about him. He made sure everybody was good.”
Though three people have been detained, police said no arrests have been made.
