MEMPHIS, Tenn. — A murder mystery has gripped a small town in North Shelby County after two married women were discovered dead in a home in Kerrville Monday afternoon.

“It`s usually a quiet little neighborhood.”

Murders just don’t happen here, so imagine Ashely Coffey’s surprise when the two women were found on Matthews Road.

“I just believe it is getting way too close to home,” she said.

Friends identified the women as Rhonda Renee and Brenda Bishop Dukes.

Investigators were still on the scene Tuesday afternoon.

They told WREG’s Luke Jones they suspect foul play was involved, but wouldn’t say who may have killed the women or why.

They do have a suspect in mind, they added, but said people living in the area have no need to be alarmed.
