CORINTH, Miss. — Brooklyn Traylor, 17, has been charged with capital murder in the death of a convenience store clerk.

Kris Ledlow, 43, was shot several times and later died while working at the Mapco gas station on  Highway 72.

Traylor will be arraigned Wednesday.

Police say two males walked into the store and tried to rob Ledlow.

After reviewing surveillance video, police recognized one of the teens due to past dealings with him.

We’re told Traylor’s parents tracked him down and brought him to police.

No information of the other suspect has been released.

Ledlow’s brother released the following statement, “Our family is heartbroken over today’s tragic death of Kris. Our sympathies go to the families of the assailants as well.”

Ledlow, who has two daughters, was nearing the end of her shift when she was killed.

This is the first murder of 2016 in Corinth.
