MEMPHIS, Tenn. — The Brooks Museum broke ground Thursday morning at its future home on the downtown Memphis riverfront.
The museum is moving to the corner of Union Avenue and Front Street after more than a century in Overton Park.
The new 122,000-square-foot building will become the city’s premiere art attraction.
The $180 million facility should be ready for a grand opening by 2026.
