MEMPHIS, Tenn. — Memphis Police were on the scene Saturday afternoon in the Hyde Park area of North Memphis, where a body was found. Police received a suspicious activity call that led them to the scene in the 1000 block of Springdale Avenue. According to the police, the complainant called after discovering a dead body on the side of one of the homes. An investigation revealed that a 17-year-old male was shot in the 1000 block of Springdale on Thursday, March 29.
According to an affidavit WREG obtained, the suspect, 28-year-old Anwar Ghazali, shot the victim after the victim stole at least one beer from the store.
