(Memphis) Mid-South Spay & Neuter Services is hosting a Dog Days of Summer Pup Pool Party this Saturday, June 22.

The event lasts from 11 a.m. until 2 p.m. at the Barking Lot, located at downtown Main Street and Jefferson.

There will be puppy pools, lick-able ice sculptures for pets, pup-sicles and more.

Memphis Dawgs is the official vendor for the event, and will be accepting “Tips for Snips” in support of Mid-South Spay & Neuter Services.

Donations of distilled water, paper towels, training pads, stamps and copy paper would also be appreciated.

The Dog Days of Summer Campaign seeks to raise awareness of the euthanization of hundreds of dogs and cats in Memphis during the summer:

“The mission of Mid-South Spay & Neuter Services is to reduce pet overpopulation by addressing the root of the problem. In addition to our standard low-cost procedures, we place a special emphasis on ensuring that all low-income and senior citizens have the opportunity to use our services.”
