Another Gatlinburg fire victim identified by authorities

GATLINBURG, Tenn. — Gatlinburg officials have newly identified another victim of the wildfires last week.

To date, there have been 14 fatalities associated with the fire, one of whom was just identified as 63-year-old Robert Hejny. He was discovered inside the Traveler’s Motel in Gatlinburg.

More than 160 people were injured and 1,785 structures damaged due to the fires.

Multiple crews are still on the scene fighting the Chimney Top 2 Fire. It’s estimated to be 58 percent contained while the Cobbly Nob fire is 53 percent contained.
