BALTIMORE — The bodies of six children who were caught in a house fire in Baltimore overnight have been recovered from the rubble.
Authorities have not released the children’s names, but said they ranged in age from 11 to 9-months old.
Four other family members –the children’s mother and three other siblings– were injured in the fire.
A 4 and 5-year-old are both still in critical condition at the hospital Their 8-year-old sister who tried to help get her siblings out of the house has already been released.
The father was at work when the house became engulfed in flames early Thursday morning, according to the CBS News station in Baltimore.
All three floors in the home caught on fire, resulting in the floors to eventually collapse down to the lower floor.
The cause is under investigation.
