
MEMPHIS, Tenn. — The Memphis Police Department is investigating a shooting at Alabama and Lauderdale that left two men dead Wednesday night.
Officers arrived on the scene around 8 p.m. One man was pronounced dead on the scene. Another was taken to Regional One Hospital in critical condition. Police said he died early Thursday morning.
At least a dozen officers were on the scene as the investigation into the deadly shooting continued. Police blocked off parts of Danny Thomas, Alabama, Exchange and Lauderdale to search the area for shell casings and other possible evidence.
The Uptown Square Apartments are right in the middle of the crime scene. We don't know if the shooting happened in that complex or somewhere nearby.
Police are looking for a dark colored Nissan Maxima. They believe one or more suspects might be in a car machining that description.
