Report: Not enough women are getting mammograms

A new report says not enough women in Shelby County are getting mammograms. The Memphis Breast Cancer Consortium, part of the non-profit Common Table Health Alliance, released “Breast Cancer 901: Community Wide Report” on Thursday. That study identified the quality and capacity of local breast cancer facilities right here in the Mid-South.

Kiki Hall and Carla Baker talked about the report.

The impact of the Angel Tree program

Every year the Salvation Army of Memphis gathers gifts from the Mid-South for its Angel Tree program but that’s something that wouldn’t get done if not for the help of volunteers. WREG’s Shay Arthur joined us from the Angel Tree warehouse to detail the effort that goes into it all.

Elvis: Live in Concert

The holiday season is filled with magic all across the Mid-South and Graceland is no exception. A weekend of holiday events are on tap, including Elvis: Live in Concert with an all-star band featuring T.C.B. guitarist James Burton.

Comedian Corey Holcomb

He’s been on TV and in movies. Now he’s right here in Memphis, Tennessee. Comedian Corey Holcomb will be headlining Chuckles Comedy House this weekend.
