FORREST CITY, Ark. — Police in Forrest City, Arkansas are investigating after a teenage boy was found dead with a gunshot wound to the face.

On Thursday evening, officials confirmed an arrest was made in the investigation. Authorities aren't releasing person's name.

Family members and police identified the victim as 15-year-old Jordan White.

According to the police, the body was found at a Housing Authority apartment complex on Dawson around 8 Thursday morning. A tenant noticed the body face-down next to a bush near the playground and called police.

Authorities said the boy was only wearing a pink hoodie when he was found. They said he did not live at the complex.

The child's body has been sent to the crime lab in Little Rock.

So far, police do not have any suspects in the case, and family members are upset.

As WREG was talking to the victim's grandmother, the victim's brother came out yelling and swinging a piece of wood, smashing a car window.
