PONTOTOC, Miss. — A man accused of kidnapping and shooting his estranged wife in 2017 is in a northeast Mississippi jail after 16 months on the run.

News outlets report Adrian Golden was arrested Oct. 10 by U.S. Marshals in Texarkana, Arkansas.

Golden remained jailed Wednesday in Pontotoc County. Golden hasn’t seen a judge and doesn’t have a lawyer.

He’s been indicted in Pontotoc County on a kidnapping charge and in Calhoun County on an aggravated assault charge.

Authorities say Golden kidnapped Kimberly Sisk from her Pontotoc County home and shot her in the chest before Sisk jumped from a moving vehicle near Bruce.

Authorities say Golden left the wrecked vehicle, shot Sisk again in the head and fled.

A judge could be asked to revoke Golden’s probation for burglary convictions.
