Man shot and killed in South Memphis

MEMPHIS, Tenn. — A man was shot and killed in South Memphis on Friday night.

Police responded to a shooting call in the 500 block of Cambridge around 8:30. An adult male was taken to Regional One but did not survive his injuries.

Monday, police identified the victim as Tremaine Farmer, 23.

Police say the victim was shot after getting into an argument with someone he knew.

No arrests have been made at this time. Police say this is an ongoing investigation.
