Police: Man fled from shooter, gunned down in middle of Olive Branch street

OLIVE BRANCH, Miss. — Police are investigating after a man was gunned down in the middle of his Olive Branch street.

According to police, the 50-year-old victim was about to head to work and was in his driveway near Alexanders Ridge Cove and Alexanders Ridge Drive when he was approached by the suspect.

He ran and collapsed in front of a home three doors down. He had been shot multiple times.

Neighbors said there were shell casings around his body, leading them to believe he was targeted.

According to WREG's Melissa Moon police towed a vehicle from a home down from where the body was found, but authorities have not officially said if that was the victim's car.

No one else appears to have been hurt.
