Lock down cancelled for Magnolia Elementary after shots heard nearby

MEMPHIS, Tenn. — Magnolia Elementary is no longer on lock down.

The elementary school was on lock down for a short period Thursday afternoon after shots could be heard near the school in Castalia Heights.

Memphis police confirmed the shots were fired in the area of Livewell Circle, not too far from the elementary school.
