Kingsbury High evacuated due to strange smell

MEMPHIS, Tenn. — A local school was evacuated Thursday morning after a strange smell was reported inside the building.

According to Shelby County Schools, Kingsburgy High School was evacuated Thursday morning due to an odor.

Students, teachers and staff members were given the all clear around 9:30 a.m.

A valve in the science lab was to blame for the smell and has since been fixed.

Thankfully, no one was hurt or became sick from the smell.
