Northeast Prep teacher resigns after allegations involving student

MEMPHIS, Tenn. — A teacher has resigned amid allegations of inappropriate conduct involving a student, Shelby County Schools confirmed Monday.

The teacher was at Northeast Prep Academy in Memphis.

School officials said the matter remains under investigation by authorities.

Memphis Police confirm they are investigating. They say someone from Shelby County Schools contacted them about the matter at 2 p.m. Nov. 7, and officers went to the scene.

They did not disclose the name of the teacher of details of the circumstances. WREG is trying to learn more.
