Dallas removes Robert E. Lee statue from park

DALLAS, Texas — A Confederate statue is coming down in another major Southern city.

A statue of Confederate Gen. Robert E. Lee is being removed from a Dallas park Wednesday.

The Dallas City Council voted 13-1 in favor of a resolution calling for immediate removal of the statue.

The statue will be stored at a city-owned facility until a task force decides what to do with it.
