MEMPHIS, Tenn. — The Memphis Open tennis tournament is no more.

WREG’s Glenn Carver has confirmed the tournament, founded in 1975, is ending.

Sources confirm GF Sports is moving the tournament to Long Island.

The reason for the tournament cancellation apparently boils down to money.

Tickets weren’t selling and sponsorships were becoming harder and harder to secure.
