South Carolina man charged with to help and join ISIS

LADSON, S.C. — A South Carolina man has been charged with trying to help and join ISIS.

Zakaryia Abdin, 18, of Ladson appeared in federal court Friday.

Abdin was reportedly trying to join ISIS and was arrested at Charleston International Airport as he attempted to board a flight.

He’s charged with attempting to provide material support to ISIS.
