Shelby County deputy involved in wreck

MEMPHIS, Tenn. — MPD investigators are looking into a three-vehicle crash involving a deputy with the Shelby County Sheriff’s Office.

The crash happened around 12:15 a.m. Monday in the 1600 block of South Perkins Road near Willow Road in East Memphis.

According to the Shelby County Sheriff’ Office two cars hit the detective.

One of the drivers was taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

The cause of the crash is under investigation.
