City Council members talk about the Share the Pennies Program

As the temperatures plummet, heating units across the city of Memphis are being turned up to keep families warm.

But paying for that bill is a burden for many families, and it's something City Council members like Patrice Robinson and Worth Morgan want to fix through the Share the Pennies Program.

According to MLGW, the program is voluntary and simply rounds up your gas bill to the next whole dollar amount. The extra cents go directly to Project CARE.
