MEMPHIS, Tenn. — A Shelby County judge said one convicted rapist is a danger to society with no hope of rehabilitation.

Deandrey Peterson is known as the Abington rapist.

A judge sentenced him Thursday to 60 years in prison for rape.

Peterson was already serving a 30-year sentence on the same charge.

According to the district attorney’s office, Peterson represented himself during his most recent trial and clapped as the jury read its verdicts.

Peterson also has two more pending rape trials. He’s already been convicted in three.
