Woman charged with second-degree murder after man found stabbed to death

MEMPHIS, Tenn. -- A woman was charged with second-degree murder and false reporting after a man was found dead in a home.

On Wednesday at approximately 11 p.m., officers responded to a well-being call in the 700 block of Montgomery Street.

When police arrived at the scene, officers located a man inside the residence who was pronounced dead due to a stab wound.

Police identified him as Dennis Jackson, 34.

Ariane Stokes, 38, was at the home when police arrived, and police took her into custody for the crime.

This was the city's 220th homicide of the year.
