Four people being treated after house fire in Parkway Village

MEMPHIS, Tenn. -- A family is picking up the pieces after their home went up in flames Thursday just weeks before Christmas.

The incident happened in the 4500 block of Chuck Avenue in Parkway Village.

WREG's Luke Jones was told by authorities 1 adult and 3 children are being treated for smoke inhalation.

They are expected to be okay.

Several neighbors told WREG they heard a loud explosion from all the way down the street. When they rushed to see what had happened, they noticed fire coming from inside the home.

Investigators said the fire started in the bedroom, but the specific cause has not been released.
