MEMPHIS, Tenn. — The US Postal Service is offering a $50, 000 reward for information that leads to the arrest of the person who robbed a letter carrier.

The robbery happened Monday on Baltic Street in the Binghampton area just after 12:30 p.m.

Memphis Police and the US Postal Service are working together on this case and say the mail carrier had just jumped in her truck, put up her satchel and was sorting through mail when a man in a dark hooded sweatshirt jumped in the truck and aimed a gun at her.

Investigators say he demanded money and told her he ‘robbed for a living,’ because he lost his job.

Police say he got away in a blue Toyota Matrix.
