2 in custody for kidnapping Dollar Tree manager in Jonesboro

JONESBORO, Ark. — About two months after the manager of a Jonesboro Dollar Tree was abducted at gunpoint then found dead, police have nabbed two suspects in the case.

The incident happened Sept. 25.

According to police, assistant manager Loretta Pixler and several other employees were leaving the store for the evening when they were approached by a man demanding money.

Pixler was forced to drive away in her vehicle.

The 2004 Hyundai Accent was later involved in an accident near I-555 near they Payneway exit and ended up in a ditch.

Pixler was discovered dead at the scene.

Wednesday, police announced they took Byron Ford and Dawaun Logan into custody.

They are charged with kidnapping and aggravated robbery.
